What is Freediving?

How long do you think you can hold your breath underwater?

Most people are surprised to learn that even without any training, they can often hold their breath for over a minute—and with practice, several minutes or more is possible.

Freediving isn’t about pushing your limits recklessly. It’s about discovering a natural ability we all carry within us. Our bodies are more adapted to the underwater world than we realize. With the right guidance and a calm mindset, anyone can learn to unlock this hidden potential—and experience the deep, quiet world below the surface.

With the right guidance and a calm mindset, anyone can learn to unlock this hidden potential—and experience the deep, quiet world below the surface.

It’s the art of diving on a single breath—without tanks or heavy gear. It’s a peaceful, mindful way to explore the ocean using nothing but your body and your breath. Whether you’re gliding through clear blue water or simply floating in stillness, freediving helps you connect with nature—and with yourself.

You don’t need any experience—just curiosity and a willingness to try.Come join us and discover what you’re truly capable of beneath the surface.

Yoko Ota

I’m a certified freediving instructor and an active competitive freediver. I’ve competed in both national and international events, including the World Championships. I’ve taught students in Japan and overseas, and I’m fluent in English.
I discovered freediving while working a full-time corporate job. What started as a personal interest quickly became a life-changing passion. I left the office, moved closer to the sea, and became an instructor. For me, freediving is about more than depth or time — it’s about freedom. It helped me reconnect with my body, my breath, and my life.I’d love to help you experience that same freedom in the water.
