Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all courses, sessions, and related services provided by Freediving.TOKYO ("the School"). By booking or participating in any activity, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.


Article 1 - Booking and Payment

  1. All bookings must be made through the School's official website.
  2. Full payment must be completed by the deadline specified in your booking confirmation.
  3. Unless otherwise stated, all prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and are subject to change without prior notice.

Article 2 - Cancellation and Rescheduling

  1. Cancellation fees are as follows:
  • 5 to 2 days before the course date: 20% of the course fee
  • 1 day before the course date: 50% of the course fee
  • After 6:00 p.m. the day before, or on the day of the course / no-show: 100% of the course fee
  1. In the event of unsafe weather or sea conditions, the course may be canceled for safety reasons. In such cases, no cancellation fee will be charged.

Article 3 - Health and Safety

  1. All participants must be in good physical and mental health. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, you must notify the School in advance.
  2. The School reserves the right to refuse participation if it is determined that your participation may compromise the safety of yourself or others.
  3. Freediving involves certain inherent risks. All participants are required to sign a Medical Declaration and a Liability Waiver prior to joining.

Article 4 - Eligibility

  1. Except for introductory courses, all training and coaching sessions require a valid freediving certification issued by a recognized agency (e.g., PADI, AIDA, etc.).
  2. Participants under the age of 18 may require parental consent and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, as determined on a case-by-case basis.

Article 5 - Instructor Authority

  1. Participants must follow the instructions and safety protocols provided by the instructor at all times.
  2. The School reserves the right to dismiss any participant who fails to comply with safety rules or exhibits behavior deemed disruptive or dangerous. In such cases, no refund will be given.

Article 6 - Liability and Insurance

  1. While the School takes all reasonable safety precautions, it accepts no legal responsibility for accidents, injuries, loss, or theft that may occur during participation.
  2. Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain their own travel or diving insurance.

Article 7 - Use of Photos and Media

  1. Photos or videos taken during sessions may be used for promotional purposes on the School's website or social media platforms.
  2. If you do not wish to be included in such media, please notify us in advance.

Article 8 - Changes to Terms

  1. These Terms may be revised without prior notice when deemed necessary. The latest version will always be available on the School's website. Please check regularly for updates.

Article 9 - Governing Law

  1. These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan.
